66-year-old blackmailed with nude photos

A 66-year-old woman from Wolgast fell victim to an unscrupulous sextortion scam.

A 66-year-old woman from Wolgast fell victim to fraud after exchanging nude photos via a messenger service with a man she met years ago on Facebook.
After initially breaking off contact, the man contacted her again via email about a month before the incident. Soon after, he began blackmailing the woman by threatening to make the photos public if she didn't get him prepaid cards worth a total of 800 euros.

The woman complied with the demands and provided him with the codes before filing a complaint.

This incident involves a form of cheating called sextortion. This method of fraud involves perpetrators luring their victims into sexual acts and then using these recordings to extort money.
