Yoshkarolinka fell twice for the tricks of the same military doctor from the USA

A Yoshkarolinka woman fell for the scammer's tricks for the second time. This time she lost more than 900,000 rubles.The press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Mari El writes about this.

Last year, 58-year-old Yoshkarolinka met a military doctor from the United States who is reportedly serving in Venezuela under a contract. He defrauded the woman of about two million rubles.

A year later, the fraudster came forward and announced the possibility of returning the money that the woman had transferred to him. He sent her a link that revealed the amount he supposedly had stored in his account.

Later, the fraudster told the Yoshkarolinka woman that he had sent a package with money that was already in Moscow. To receive it you have to pay taxes. A message was sent to Yoshkarolinka's mailbox with details of the money transfer. Since she didn't have that amount, she took out credit cards and loans. Within three months, the woman transferred more than 900,000 rubles under various pretexts in order to receive the same package, allegedly in cash.

Because of this incident, criminal proceedings for fraud were initiated.
