A resident of Cheboksary began a virtual romance with a Korean director. She then lost a large sum of money. This is reported in the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Chuvashia.

At the beginning of summer, the Cheboksary woman began an exchange of letters with an unknown person. He introduced himself as a director from Korea. The man said he sent her a package by diplomatic mail. The woman did not receive the gift, she had to pay the customs, and then the tax.

The attacker was able to capture over 100,000 rubles. After that, the pensioner realized that she had become a victim of scammers. She contacted the police. A criminal case has been opened in the investigative department of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for Cheboksary, and steps are being taken to identify and arrest the criminals.
