19-year-old found dead in her apartment
The police and fire department then found the man's 19-year-old daughter lying dead in the apartment. According to the first information she was killed. A homicide commission took over further investigations. The father and alleged perpetrator was still missing.
On the night of July 20, a male person was found who later turned out to be the father of the dead 19-year-old. The 55-year-old was run over by a train in the Mühlheim city area – the police assume suicide.
Found several suicide notes
During a search of the apartment, the police found several farewell letters left by the father. According to the current status of the investigation, these show that the 55-year-old was the victim of so-called "love scamming".
In "love scamming", the scammers pretend love and affection until a relationship of trust is established. Then they invent an emergency situation in which they demand money and thus deprive the other person of large sums of money.
The father is said to have been heavily in debt – he lost a five-digit amount. The police assume that the 55-year-old killed his daughter first and then himself because of the financial hardship.
police notices
