This guy is also going by the name of Kevin Helman. He posted on Zoosk with one photo and then used a different one when he emailed me. Both photos are listed as scammers when you upload the photo to google/images.

A warning to ladies that someone is using the photos of MAJ Chris Haggard to pose as an officer in Afghanistan who wants to retire early but needs money for transport to wherever you are. Uses email of haggard313@live.com. Once he has you talking for a few weeks he changes the email account to something with your name in it (e.g. ineedyoucatherine@live.com). The scammer contacted me through match.com and one of the pictures being used is with this post.

MAJ Haggard has been very vocal and public about the theft of his identity. I would ask that people help stop the use of his name and reputation.

Hi. Are you sure you didn´t talk just to another but more convincing impersonation? This is the most common result of "realguysearch" (see link in my signatureline).

"Stopping" it is practically impossible; the pictures are already out, like from thousands of other people, and scammers pass them along to each other.

Can you post an actual money request email/chat log and, most important, email header?
These two things normally are the best proof to people who think they would be talking to the real soldier that it is in fact nothing but an anonymous West African gang of criminals hiding behind stolen photos to ask random women for money.

I am also not sure the real guy's name is Chris. As you can see, we have 7 paged topic about him, and were not able to find the real guy behind the pictures so far. Do you have a link to his legitimate profile to verify his name??

Now that I re-reead the wording of this sinle poster´s post, that BTW does not deliver any new scam details, which is the reason for almost anyone else to register and comment here,

can just as well sound like "My scammer, who poses very convincingly as this soldier, has asked me to register on RS to take scam reports down so I can continue to use this format with success on this and other victims."

Yeah. It´s possibly better to ask for proof three timesd and not just accepting the first best ok-looking Google hit; I surely have not looked through vetfriends thoroughly enough. Why shouldn´t also Nigerian scammers be able to register there and give their story some official-looking background?

Last name Haggard is obvious, it's written on his uniform, but where is the name Chris??

"Chris", I guess I simply believed the 1-post-poster. Now after repeated reading it sounds just like a good impersonation of this soldier ordered her to register here and to have the topic removed so that he can scam with less interference and disturbance form us

As if the scammer had convinced her only HIS impersonation of "Haggard" is real and all the others are fake and that something had to be done against this...

I might be wrong once more but before we had the 10 post minimum border on the "Social and Dating Sites" section, every now and then a 1-post-poster would come up there and contradict all the other reports saying something similarly unproven and inane like "Hell no, that site is GOOD and I have never found a scammer there."
