I would like to offer additional information to anyone having contact with this man. I just recently took a brief hiatus from corresponding with him, because, he was talking so much of being in love with me, and wanting me to say the same, but, I couldn't. But, last Saturday 6/11/2016 I received a lovely ecard from him sent to me by way of 123 greetings which I use them often, but, it would not come directly to me from him because, I had banned him from contacting me. Well, I will admit yes, that is when my heart got temporarily in the way, and I had to open up the lines of communication again, and I have been corresponding with him on yahoo messenger or by email, and as always we have to correspond each afternoon between 2-3pm or 9-11pm in the evening. So, as of Monday 6/13/2016 we had chatted on yahoo messenger, and we spoke of him coming home, and he said he would possibly be coming home sooner than expected because, the UNITED NATIONS had a meeting with him the other day, and he asked to be released from his duties, to go ahead and retire. So, he will know this week if that is going to happen. However, he wanted me to accept a package weighting 35kg which is approx. 75lbs. The package is suppose to contain only his very distinguished metals, and important documents. Well, I said yes, but, he wants a Diplomat to deliver them to my home, and I let him know that I would not allow anyone to come to my home that I did not know, and that I would meet the Diplomat in a public setting of my choosing. His reply to that so far is that he would never do anything to hurt me or to put me in harms way, and that he would let the Diplomat know my terms. Since, I left and received the message, and I have not heard from him again, and I won't because I went ahead and blocked and banned him from communicating with him again. Yes, he did say something to the fact that his camp had taken a hit of some sorts, but, not for me to worry he is fine. Well, he claims to be in SYRIA, and that things are not good there, and has mention how poor the people are there, and that he and his men, have given the locals somethings from time to time to eat etc. I know him as Thomas O'Connor Parker. But, his uniform states he is O'Connor by name, and I asked him about that, and he said he was using his middle name on his uniform because there are others in the camp who share the same name as Parker. He does state that he is a General. Well, will look forward to see if any of you have anymore contact with him. I do not have any new photos of him. By the way, he has told me he has no children, no siblings, and both parents are deceased. When he comes home it will be just him and me he says? He wants to live with me right away, and I have said absolutely not. But, at this time, I will not be having anymore contact with this man. You all be careful out there. I know I am being more and more careful.

The African gang wants you to become their mule, i.e. forward stolen goods from other victims, to Africa.
Block and ignore, no matter how many new contact attempts to you will be made! Best would be to change your emailaddress and phone number.
Please try your best to block ALL your scammer´s still incoming messages and calls!

What is all this? => The FAQ

The scammers vs. Why is "he" still doing it?

Why is alerting the man in the pictures DANGEROUS?

Please click why confronting my scammer is terribly wrong :)

Thanks FrumpyBB for your suggestion. I have already banned him once again from my email address, yahoo messenger, but, he does not have my phone or home address. I have been on dating sites for over 2yrs now, and I have come to notice who is and isn't a scammer. I will admit though, there is not very many, actually not any really out there, that is not a scammer of some sorts. Yes, there have been others. I have even reported them on the dating site in question, that being OKCUPID, but, OKCUPID seems to allow some of them to remain, or they take them down, and than allow them to open a new account under a different username, but, the photos are the same, or may show the same man or men, in different clothing whether it be MILITARY or very casual dress. I have at my whit's end, and have all but, given up on finding a special someone over the internet online dating sites. I currently have none open at this time. I wish they would just catch these guys, so that maybe we could find what we want.
Again thanks for the information and suggestions. Here to help. purplelady

I met "James Walter" on the dating website, Plenty of Fish (POF), in the middle of May 2016. He was very charming and we began emailing. He used the email address of jameswalter484@gmail.com. He then asked me to download the "Hangouts" app on my cellphone and that's where the rest of our conversations were had.

He told me he was 49 years old and had been divorced for the last 15 years. He said he was born in Germany and when his dad passed away him and his mom moved to Adrian, MI. He said he had been overseas for the last 3 years, in Syria and now Afghanistan. He said he was coming home on June 28, 2016 and would be retiring after being in the military for 28 years. He was a very smooth talker but did talk about being in love with me after only a couple of weeks. Being single for so long I was taken and sure enough, I fell for his little game. He did ask me for my home address, which I gave to him and an arrangement of flowers was delivered a few days later. I was over the moon. In the middle of June 2016, he told me he would be doing night patrols in North Kabul and asked me to send him an i-Phone that was unlocked. I did it and he provided the following address for it to be overnighted:

Abroni Bright
182-21 150th Avenue
ACC 9296
Springfield Gardens, NY 11413

Then about a week ago he told me he needed $1,500 dollars to help get a plane ticket to come back home, which I though was odd because the military takes care of that. I confronted him with that and he became very defensive. I became very wary at that point and decided to play along. I was to send the money via a Moneygram to Sandra Amponsah in Bronx, NY, 10468. He claims she was a caretaker that was coming over and would give the money to him there. I confronted him again because I work in the Fraud Department of a very large company and knew this was a scam at this point. He adamantly denied being a fake and I told him I was going to report him. He somewhat threatened me and said to bare in mind that he knows my home address and telephone number, which he does. Should I report this to my local police maybe? His profile came off of POF about a week after we started talking.

To morrell3, If you have proof that he has threatened you, by all means, yes, you need to report it to the authorities. But, if you can not prove that threat the authorities will not do anything. So, my suggestion is to be aware of your surroundings at all times, and go with caution, but, overall, you many not really have any worries, because as I have learnt, they threaten you/us or whoever, just to get there needs meet. Sorry, you did play into his games, but, one way of looking at it, at least you got some flowers from him? There again, the flowers could have been trouble for you? You never know these days how, what, or where, someone may try to do something to you. I have not said anything, that is meant to upset you or scare you, but, from one woman to another, go with GOD'S SPEED! Take Care. Be cautious, and Goodluck.

To further comment and offer some more information: Yesterday, I received from him 2 ecards of love by way of 123 greetings, and yes, I opened them up, and I opened the line of communication back up temporarily to thank him for them, but, I have placed his contact information back into the banned address stage. I tried to copy and past them here for you all to see, but, they won't transfer, but, I did get them. Again, Goodluck to you all, and I hope this man can be caught soon!!!!!!! Take Care. Happy 4th of July Everyone!!!

Please don't . The stupid ecard you are thanked for could be loaded with viruses to destroy your devices beyond the ability to be repaired. Scammers are not nice people. They are terrorists, killers at Boko Haram, human and drug traffickers and if they are nice to you it's only because they know they can win you back. Try to be stronger please or they will bother you for years to come.

I was contacted by someone on match.com by the name of hotsky32 who is using Brig Gen John O'Connor s pic. Claims to be in Kabul coming home in 4 months. He immediately wanted to go to personal email which I did but wanted me to download hangouts so we could text. His profile said he is from Morganton NC but in email he says he is from Miami. He uses the pic with the white tee shirt and email of jamrocks01@gmail.com. This happened last night around 11:00 pm. Claimed to be based out of Ft. Mason close to Morganton NC. No military bases there. Also said he lost his phone on patrol.
