I can't believe ladies would ever send money to a man they didn't know or that they had never met. Not to judge, but we ladies need to wise up. These online dating scams would not be so lucrative were it not for the gullible women out there that fall for it every time! This is the third one I have caught this year

Well believe it "tiredofscammers2" because I was one of those women you aren't judging. I am a very well educated woman who was not gullible as you suggest but simply believed in the power of a relationship that my scammer carefully cultivated for several weeks before making the money request. My scammer came from a paid site as well although not eHarmony. And I believe these dating scams would not be so lucrative if someone in our government, as well as, the countries these wastes of human space call home actually cared and made it the crime it is and prosecuted it like the crime it is. There are women who come on this site who are struggling emotionally and mentally with what happened to them and comments such as these will just make them feel worse about themselves.

Please be mindful of everyone on this site who has struggled with a romance scam - they are not gullible women - they were trusting souls with big hearts doing what they thought was best for the waste of human space that convinced them of their love.

Hello I started Messaging Brett Leon aka Michael A Locurcio in Nov. on eharmony they finally kicked him off in December. We are still in contact even today I talked to him. Until n hour ago I thought I was in a real relationship he was going to come see after his trip to Georgia USSR for business in a few weeks. I just got a wild hair and did a facial match and here I am. Right now he says his name is Brett Leon he lives in Tampa Fl. his email is brettleon9@gmail.com phone # is 561-509-1974. I am still kind of in shock he never asked for money I am on disability and completely broke so this is just a cruel joke for me especially since I just recently got out of the hospital for anxiety and depression. Like I said am in shock so what else can I do to help?

Welcome to RS and thanks for the report. Im so sorry that you should dealing with scammer atleast you did not sent any money so you are lucky found out earlier. What you can do now are please post all info that you have such as his email texts bout his comming, His skype ID if he have it, etc than block him and stop communicated with him. and beware for recovery scam. keep around here to learn and read so you will know how to indicated people that you meet in the net whether he is real man or scammer. Educated your self bout this matter is the best weapon to handle them in the future.

His phone texts are what we mostly talked about him coming and I don't know how to send those to this forum. He texted me again tonight I can't block him on my phone I don't have that option on my prepaid. I will look more into it. I blocked him on email.

Recovery scam is when scammer email you and pretend to be a police whose handle a scammer and want to help you to busted the scammer and back your money. They not a police but a scammer and may be your old scammer. They pretend to be a police to get more money from you

Ok thanks for the info. Oh also said he was born in Vienna Austria been in USA for 5 years on a Visa because he is a Freelance Contractor. Like I said never asked me for anything. I hope he gets the hint soon when I don't answer emails and texts I am hoping I am strong enough to ignore this fraud of a human.

Any ladies out there that have dealt with him how long does it take him to just leave you alone????????? Anything to make this any emotionally easier would be appreciated. Thanks

Please know it's not the man on the photo who is calling you from Georgia. You get phone calls from Eastern European mafia. The photos they use are stolen from innocent victims . They hide their faces as they are criminals.

Please you need to BLOCK and IGNORE. Do not open any text or emails. Keep blocking and they eventually will go away as they don't like to waste the time on non "cooperative victims".

I will block this number too. But when he was here he used brettleon9@gmail.com ip addresses came up California even though he said he was in Tampa Fl. I have blocked everything I could so far. It is hard to separate in my head and heart not the same person I am trying and doing my best. Thank You Igulinka

Please do not rely on GMAIL IP ..... it is covered by host due to lawsuit they were facing few years ago. Since then Gmail, Hotmail, Outlook, Live cover their clients IPs and show host's headquarters location only.

Yes, it is hard to tell the heart to listen to the brain and separate picture from rest of the crime. I was there too and I can promise you that you will feel better.

Unfortunately he is still out there. He messaged me on Facebook with the name Mark Stephen. We started talking in February 2015. He even went so far as to put me in his status in a relationship. A friend of mine located this man on July 17, 2015. He was supposed to be here in a week for my birthday. As I know now it was all a lie and now I am stuck picking up the pieces of what he has turned my life into. I am so hurt and angry at the same time. I am not sure if I will ever be able to trust a man again. I had so many walls built to keep from getting hurt again and he managed to sweet talk his way into breaking those walls down. He is very good at what he does. I beg everyone do not get caught up in his lies. Do not make the mistake that I did and send him money. I am not stuck with paying all the loans that I took out to help him. It will take me a long time to get over the pain that he has put me through. He even had the nerve to ask me today if I was sending him money for food on Friday.

Welcome to RS and im so sorry that you lost quite $$$$ hope you already block him and stop communicated with him. and if you still have other info such as his new email ID, phone number, recent pics of him, email texts with money request, where the money had sent ( his bank account, etc), etc please post them so we can used it for future research and safe other.
