I was such a fool. I am wiser now though and want to help anyone else not fall for this BS. Thank goodness I did not send anything to him even though he asked for a cellphone. He video chatted with me but the face was not very clear and there was no audio. He wants me to send him a microphone. Not Happening!!!

I was contacted by this person known to me as Tom O'Connor. He introduced himself to me as Tom Occonor. (should have been the first clue). He said we was a Warrant Officer, a W02. (The star on his chest is a general's star) clue #2. He said he was 55 and had been in the Army for 16 years. (Should have been clue # 3 - not many men join the Army at age 40.) He said he was divorced for 18 months and has a son, 14 years old who lives with a caretaker in Florida while he is overseas in Syria on a Peace Keeping Mission, (he's been there 18 months). He claims to be from Portmouth (no "s"), Virginia and has lived there all his life, and that is where his base is at. (Ok, clue #s 4,5 and 6) Portsmouth does not have a military base of any kind. Supposedly he is retiring as soon as he gets caught up on the filing and paperwork. He had to message me on messenger because he was not allowed to use the phones or the internet, but because of his position, he could get online when he was in his office and could message me.
We have talked for about 2 weeks and he has professed his undying love. Then today he did it. He asked for money to help some person with a plane ticket who was bringing him some much needed supplies. I asked what asked what supplies he might need since the Army supplies all their needs. He said "Some thank tops,cereals,boxers and sports shoes ..they do buy not everything they provide things you will need in field and not outside field I don't know who to turn to ..you my only hope as at now My girl."

He is a sweet talker, with bad English.

I have been talking to a guy I met on oasis dating site he says he is brigadier general james o conner he comes from ada in ohio but serving in Kuwait for another 3 months he has sent me photos, a couple in London and the rest in his uniform I have seen on this site the same pictures but with a different name so could someone tell me if I am talking to a scammer, he did ask me to send him some money but so far I have not and he has not asked again so far, we are still chatting on yahoo messenger and email...I thought he was genuine until I looked at this site and now i dont no what to think

Story is he needs to ship something he found in desert .. it will set you both up for life.. and wants to ship it to you but it gets caught in customs.. and needs money to get it cleared without customs opening to look.. starts small amounts.. and then increases.. I have had a Scammer using a Military Generals Pictures.. I think.. but they are military pics.. and once search a lot of names came up. He is currently using Samuel Sterling.. I have seen Jack O'Connor. His current story is that he was deployed to Syria, Damascus... got injured.. in a Military Hospital in Germany. Has a Daughter. He was widowed 5 years ago.. Lonely.. thought he would never find love again. Found some gold in Desert.. needs to get it out of the country.. package is being transported by a Diplomat.. gets caught in Customs..needs money to get it released. The amounts start small.. and get higher. Started with his daughter having an illness..needed surgery.. but needed to pay Hospital to get it done. Technical detail on medical issues.. is good. Does not call daughter by name much.. but says daughter. He is very charming and you think you have found your match of your life. Even walks the spiritual road with you.
