Hello, I am new to this forum and would like to start by saying that I have been speaking to this guy that goes by the name of Ken. I was approached via a friend request by Ken with a request to become friends and get to know each other better and that he had gotten my information from a few of my friends that he knows. Being that he knew some of my other friends and also talks to them and has info on them, the last thing I was thinking was that he was a fraud or that I was being scammed or anything. Like most ladies, I was just under the impression that this was a guy was trying to get to know me an possibly even date me. So I did end up accepting his friend request and following that he had asked me to accept an invite from "Hangouts" and we started talking on that social site. We started talking maybe once a day and as time went on it got to the point where we were talking several times a day, every day about all kinds of things. We swapped information from families and children, to education and employment, we talked about medical issues and confidential things, we swapped photos and personal private information, I sent money on a couple of different occasions via Western Union, we talked on the phone, video chat and started to grow more close and our conversations became more intimate. Subjects were starting to be talked about regarding plans for visits in person and travel accommodations. As the weeks went on though, I started seeing "red flags" and things that were concerning to me. I started to distance myself from speaking to Ken as frequently as we usually did and I started to look into things about him, in an attempt learn more about who he is and where he was from. I finally tried to break off all contact with Ken, in which I changed my phone number, I stopped responding to him, I told my kids and my parents and friends to stop associating with him due to us not continuing our relationship any further. I did not inform any of them that he is a scammer or his fraudulent behavior or anything because I didn't even know at that time. Ken continued to try to contact me and talk to me, asking me if we could talk about these things and that if we talked and communicated about my concerns that we could get through it and that he continues to care and love me and was persistent even today. Ken is still not aware that I have found any of this information out about him. I did find this information because I came across a picture of him on a different site, it was his picture but he was using a different name and that site lead me to a few others. I have since learned several different alias' he is using to run his scams, as well as several pictures, different stories and more. I am horrified at the thought that I have been violated to this extreme, that I am fearful of what is to come next. If anyone has any helpful advice or any other information, I would appreciate it.
