So Nick will contact you on Instagram. Say you're beautiful (even though the only picture I had on there was me in eclipse glasses--you can't even really see my face) and imply he's totally interested in you. He'll insist that he wants to talk to you for hours; he entertained me while I was packing to move so it was a fun distraction. He'll want you to do Hangouts right away but I wasn't up for that. He claimed that he wouldn't be able to show his face since his camera was damaged after dropping his phone in crude oil (I'll admit that was hilarious). He'll even interrupt your chat for a call from "his son".

He claimed that he found me after reading one of my Walmart reviews. When I asked him which one and what product it was that I reviewed, he couldn't give me that information; he then said he was too distracted by my beauty to remember. That was when something didn't feel right (he should have easily remembered what product he was looking at), so I looked up "oil rig romance scam" and there were 2 of his Instagram photos (see above). I blocked him right away.

Was it a coincidence I got followed by him and contacted the day after I signed up for POF? I'm starting to think it wasn't.

This guy's Instagram username is nickcarter764, email nick4love1280@gmail.com, claims he really is named Nick Carter. He is a widower from Denmark (I don't think Nick Carter is a common Danish name, just saying), he is working on a UK oil rig, Catholic, has one son, and lost his wife and daughter in a car accident when they ran into a trailer truck while going for a shopping trip. Quite the heart-breaking story, huh? Worst part is he went on and on about fidelity and honesty... (I will say this much: the real guy in these photos is really handsome too bad he's being used for evil).

If you want, I can follow him again and get some more photos to add to this one like the oil rig pics and him with his dog.

Because I blocked him, I don't have access to our chat anymore, but I do have his last email transcript:
