Hi Garrett Spencer/Matty Alan "Fans!"

Just thought I would give a little update, since it's been about a week...This guys is so TOTALLY STILL thinking I'm actually TRYING to send him his $1000 for "poor Jeff's surgery!

I've "strung" him along now for two weeks with excuses like "the money was sent to Kenya by mistake", or they gave me the wrong MTCN number, not once but twice! And now, the second time the MTCN number has been wrong, "they are sending the money all the way back from Lagos, Nigeria; which of course should take a couple days, and then I'm going to RUN to another Western Union to TRY MY HARDEST to send it again!"

He is still being oh so patient and kind and ever so (gag me ) LOVING that it is really getting pretty pathetic at this point.

I really thought after about a week he would have "cut me loose", but no such luck! At this point, when he tells me, oh seriously get this...he says "Jeff" (his imaginary son), needs to have "brain surgery" and this costs $1000. The poor imagined kid has supposedly been lying in a hospital bed for 2 weeks now needing this surgery and if he doesn't have it he will die! Jeff is in "unimaginable" pain! Wait, if it's unimaginable, how can it be imagined? (He hasn't died yet...) AND..here's the kicker, as SOON as the "brain surgery" is over, Matty and Jeff will IMMEDIATELY be able to leave Africa and come HOME TO ME!! How excited am I about that! Woo hooo! LOL!

Of course I am SO concerned that they shouldn't leave Africa so soon after $1000 brain surgery, I say I think "Jeff" should stay and recover a few days. I then get accused of NOT loving or caring about Matty or Jeff; and that I REALLY don't want them to "come home" to me! Ewwww!

(I actually know some people who might benefit from $1000, outpatient brain surgery....but that's another story! Could Matty/Garrett be in need of this operation? )

I'm still going to "play" for a little while longer. As sick as it may be, "Matty" is so much "sicker" than I could EVER be.

He's probably going to get tired of my excuses pretty soon, but I want to hang in there for as long as I can. Maybe if he thinks he's gonna get some money from me there might be one less victim? Maybe not, but that's what I'm hoping for anyway.

What really makes me mad and sick is that he seems to use this adorable little boy's picture, poses as a single dad, (because Jeff's Mom died), and then "sucks in" single mom's who DON"T have the money to send him in the first place. It's exactly what got me! I'm a single mom of the "coolest" son and I see this "Jeff's" little face....I'm a goner! If I ever knew my son's pic was being used in a scam, I would die inside and then go look for my can 'o whup ass!

Is there no way of notifying the Focus Hawaii people that this is what is being done with their pictures? Or, maybe it has already been tried and no one cares? I was just curious about that.

I'll still keep y'all posted on my "boyfriend", let me know if any of you are making any progress?, with him or you are doing anything different and/or better to keep him hanging on!

Chatting w/ Dear Matty today, seems he has come up with another yahoo ID that he wanted to talk on.

When questioned why, he said that he just wanted to have another ID to use.
Maybe he's getting too many girlfriends? Who can say?

I just wanted to post the new email for everyone just in case someone stumbles upon it and doesn't connect it to "our Matty or Garrett"!

Just noticed something since I posted last... "Matty" is spelling his last name differently in his NEW email honestmanat40@yahoo.com

He is spelling it ALEN instead of ALAN, just to keep your eyes open for it!

Am also having his IP checked to see if he is still in the same place...

I've still been in contact w/ Matty at both of his yahoo emails...he's SUPER PISSED now because I've told him there is just NO WAY I can help him "save" his son Jeff. BTW, Jeff has been lying in a hospital bed for like 4 weeks now needing brain surgery! Only my $1000 will save him and then "Matty" will come home to me.

Anyway, I tell him I can't help him and maybe he could "find" another woman just to help Jeff and then he can come home! He gets really mad and leaves!

THEN, a few hours later, I get an email from Garrett Spencer! YES he has resurfaced! LMAO!
He saw my profile...(I have NO profiles OUT THERE), and we've talked before...(we've NEVER spoken!)

K...here's where we seem to be at this point...It seems that GARRETT is going to "take over" the MATTY part of "my life"!

Garrett said that he does not want me speaking to Matty any more because he believes that Matty is a SCAMMER! OMG! Noooo! Well, me being such a gullible, trusting, lonely women...I BELIEVE HIM! (But am still secretly talking to Matty!) LMFAO!

Garrett was going to come up from Beaumont TX to visit me before his business trip to, guess where....NIGERIA! Ding ding ding! But unfortunately had to leave the next day. Damn. I asked if he could maybe call me, so we could talk, before he left...um, no he could not, you see he does not have long distance on his cell phone...

A Building Contractor who makes MILLIONS, mind you and is going to Nigeria to "seal a deal" has NO long distance I ask? Well, he won't need long distance in Nigeria because the phone service over there is really bad. I of course, believe him again. I mean, who wouldn't!

Oh...Matty finally got the money for his son's BRAIN SURGERY! He borrowed it from the Hotel Manager where he was staying...BUT Matty had to give the guy his passport and plane tickets as collateral until I could send him not $1000, but now $1200! (He has to pay for his hotel room!) And he wants to know what I'm gonna do about it?!

OMG, what am I gonna do about it? Sit back and laugh...wonder if any of this stuff would be a good, like soap opera or something?

Matty is starting to be found out, due to a notice that was sent out on him. I have had at least 4 girls contact me telling me Matty was a scammer and to be careful..at least that's GOOD news..maybe that's why Garrett is coming back out of hiding?

Anyway...just an update, I'll keep 'em coming and amusing you when I get them!

Just a question for the MODS? I almost had an address for the last IP that was checked...had an intersection at least, what will that do, if anything to possibly catch this ass?

As for the address, it will likely only lead you to an internet cafe ... not the computer he sat at. It's next to impossible to pinpoint them.

He also goes by the name Matty Alen or Matty Alan. He gave me his email address as honestmanat40@ yahoo.com and can be found under that nickname on Yahoo messenger. His pics and story seem to be the same as the ones I've seen posted here. He also sent me a pic of his "son" Jeff. I'm playing along to see how the story progresses this time. Very grateful that I googled his name after my first conversation with him yesterday. Thank you all for opening my eyes to this scammer.

I'm talking to Matty aka Garrett Spencer right now on Yahoo messenger. Boy, he thinks he's so slick!! Is Focus Hawaii aware that he's using their models' images for his scam? He hasn't gotten to the asking for money phase... still trying to reel me in with his charm. Please keep me posted if any of you are also still hearing from him. I have a "matty" file started... keeping track of all the emails and messenger conversations... not sure it's worth much but it will remind me of how close I came to being scammed.

FAH are aware that scammers are using their models' pictures, and have put a disclaimer on their front page. The problem is that the photos are already in circulation and there's still nothing to stop the photos from being stolen from the site.

he says that he often is in ghana?? have not got any email adress from him yet, but I am pretty sure he is one...

but I was sure he was a scam
